Hello!
This month we are joined by Nessa Dear! (roma dear mama!)
for absolute beginners Flamenco!
at the Landsdowne Church ( just opposite kelvinbridge subway on great western rd)
Sunday 4th December
2 - 3:30pm
if everyone can please wear shoes with a heel (not necessarily a high heel just a solid heel, not a pump- so like a boot or a brogue or any other solid shoe that you can stamp about in! (if you cant, its also fine- just makes it easier! )
Traditionally in Flamenco dance, the women often use a shawl to dance with or to wrap around their waist so if all you ladies/women could bring a shawl along that would be excellent…… we’ll have spares if this is tricky for anyone.
The men don’t usually wear one but do of course feel free!
In Flamenco, men often dress in quite tight silky trousers and tucked in shirts (when the clothes are tight it becomes easier to feel your body!) Or in some styles of Flamenco- the men go bare chested!…. so up to you if you want to don this attire!
Flamenco is a style of dance for both men and women and everyone is absolutely welcome to come to the class! if we have a good mix of genders then we may be able to do some partner dancing!!! wooooo !!!!
Huge thanks to Satya Dunning for last months workshop, you taught us how to use our bones in new and playful ways!
If anyone still hasnt (or didn’t get one) and feels like they would like too then please fill in the evaluation sheet and send it back to us!
hopefully see y’all there on sunday!
gonna be good
Big love
